Arts Administration Portfolio
Obtaining my M.A. in Arts Administration from Oklahoma City University, I have been able to compile a number of projects and pieces of work that highlight the knowledge and hands on practice the program has given me. Please feel free to look through some of my projects, as there is a wide variety of field work coverage that I will be excited to utilize more moving forward in the field. In addition, the Marketing Material link has been updated to include my Marketing work with Westport Center for the Arts and the materials I created for the art gallery I am coordinating, It's Giving: Kansas City Queerness! Thanks for visiting!
Leadership Philosophy
This project had me evaluate leadership in both myself and others. I considered what type of leadership I would want to pursue in a work space, interviewed the Founder of Chicago Children's Theatre, and created a mock agenda for a board orientation. Also included in this folder are my Clifton Top 5 Strengths.
Marketing Material
This folder contains my Marketing materials from my position as Marketing Coordinator with Westport Center for the Arts, the art gallery I am curating through ArtsKC, and my Marketing materials from various projects in graduate school. You will find graphics and reels I have made, photos I have taken, a link to another website I have built, a mini brand audit, a press release, and more.
Mock Program Budget
In this project, I created a mock budget for KCRep's "KCRep For All" program. Using what knowledge I had, I created a theoretical budget that focused on the expenses and revenue in the situation that the program were to grow and add in new pieces to their programming.
Mock Grant Proposal
For this project, I got to create a mock grant proposal for the same program I created a budget for, KCRep For All. The grant proposal was written to the Hall Family Foundation. Also included in this folder are a grant calendar and a grant matrix, which were both pieces in this project.
ADA Arts Advocacy
This project was geared toward advocating for an increase of ADA accommodations and government funding for such accommodations in the state of Missouri for nonprofit arts organizations. You will likely see a trend in many of the projects I have chosen to work on focusing on improved accessibility in the arts.
Program Evaluation Proposal
This project was evaluating the availability of free access in Charleston Stage's programming. It focuses on the need for evaluation, process of evaluation, process for communicating results, and recommendations for further evaluation.
All Are Welcome Gala
This project focused on fundraising efforts for Charleston Stage that would raise funds for renovations to create a more accessible space and environment for patrons. It had a special focus on the volunteer aspect of the event and what those individuals' schedule would look like. In addition it focused on budget, timeline of preparation and event, and staff assignments. Also included in this folder are volunteer training slides and a donor stewardship matrix.
Research Proposal
For this project I proposed a study on the availability of free access to nonprofit arts education programs within a 100 mile radius of Kansas City, MO. This document includes a proposed research process and breakdown of the study, along with survey questions.
Strategic Planning
For this project, I worked alongside three of my peers to create a theoretical strategic plan for a theoretical theatre. This covers many aspects of a strategic plan, some of which are an executive summary, logistical overview, planning process, major strategies, and monitoring strategies.
Organizational Structure Breakdown
For this project, I analyzed and broke down Kansas City Repertory's organizational structure focusing on details like organizational history, growth, board of directors, current staff, and business partners.
Arts Leader Interviews
Included in this file are breakdowns of my interviews with varying arts leaders. Currently this includes the Founder and Artistic Director of Chicago Children's Theatre, Jacqui Russell, and the Artistic Director of Great Plains Theatre, Cody Walls. Also included is my interview with the Marketing Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Jana Liles.
